The Vintage Button collection came about when I found a jar filled with colourful old buttons

in my mother's sewing room. I recognised many from the garments my grandmother had worn.

Buttons seem to live on through the generations. They are like miniature works of art and people have a fondness for them. 

Some people remember buttons as a commodity in the games they played as children.
