Thorndon is a historic suburb of Wellington in New Zealand, with steep windy streets and turn of the century homes.

I was holidaying in the area at the time I photographed this heritage home. I loved how the low winter light played across the front of the building and cast long shadows. The house seemed empty but full of stories and history.
